Hind Sight. Well, now that we got the car put together and although it is still not 100% done, i can look back and say, "gosh, i wish i done that different", so here are a few of those 'somethings' i'll be changing. Some of these items listed below are why i havent broken the 11 second barrier yet i believe, so i'll make these changes and see if i cant get that 11.99 pass! ~^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^~ #1 - The first thing id change is my selection of valve springs. My cam produces power from 3500 to 6800 but because of the springs im using, i cant get the motor to run up over 6100 rpms. I'm currently looking at Isky's 8005 big block chevy springs. #2 - I'd put ARP studs throughout
the entire motor except the oil studs, Bob convinced me to go to Pep
Boys and simply spend 7$ on an off brand rather than $20 for ARP's,
and youc an see the results below, all this time i thought i had an
Edelbrock manual fuel pump OR Proforms 2pc timing chain cover leak,
but it seems it may have been a oil pan leak from this broken stud. #3 - |
